 Installing Stone Veneer

Estimating Material:
Measure the area that you wish to install by multiplying the width x height. Then, measure the area (width x height) of the openings in the surrounding areas, ej. windows, doors, etc. Subtract the openings to the initial area. The resulting number will be the square footage of the stone you'll need.

To measure the total amount of the corner stone you will need to multiply the height of the wall x 2sqft for each corner.

You may have to cut some of the veneers to make them fit. You might also want to begin in the middle of the wall rather than the corners, this way you can install the corners later and match the shape of the stone.

Don't Rush!! Installing stone venner can take time, but believe me, it is worth it. I have been working in the construction trade for quite some time and I believe this is the best way to install this stone. If you want to know more about how to install this material, you can visit http//eldoradostone.com and download the instructions or see their video. Good Luck!

Installing material:
Make reference lines in the wall by using a string line or using a chalk line every 5".

Then, place your first line of stone at the bottom of the wall. Use regular sizes in the first line, this way you will have a better level line. Use irregular stone for the next 4 lines, try to follow the level line that you drew in the wall, this way you will have a better finish when you approach the openings of the wall.
